Under the direction of the Telecommunications Supervisor, the PBX Operator is responsible for all internal and external communications that come into the hospital switchboard.
He/she performs all hospital paging, monitors fire and code alarms, and handles all phone calls that come into the PBX/Amcom system.
All duties are to be performed in the best interest of Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, its physicians, and its patients and may be subject to change.
Essential Functions:
All PC applications as associated with the operation of the Amcom System.
Functionality of Lucent 8434 as a backup to the Amcom System Perform all emergency pages such as Code Red, Code Blue, Trauma, Stat Calls, etc.
Functionality of Fire and Code alarm panels.
Affinity Application for patient lookup.
Hospital extension numbers.
Maintain neat and orderly office space.
Telecommunications Procedures.
Phone etiquette.
And other duties as assigned.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Education and Training:
A high school diploma is a minimal requirement, with basic PC operation experience preferred.
Skills:
Must be able to key data at a reasonable rate of production.
Must be able to balance multiple tasks, such as calls, pages, and patient lookup.
Must also be able to meet challenges of physician on call schedules.
Must have oral and written communication skills with an emphasis on spelling.
Must be flexible in accommodating changes in production schedules, maintains integrity of records and patient confidentiality.
Must be able to relate with other medical center personnel to resolve problems, and accuracy of call processing.
Location:
Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center TELECOMMUNICATIONS Schedule:
Full Time, 1, 2nd shift, 3, 3rd shifts (10 Hour shifts).
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
