Responsibilities:
The Engineering Technician will provide support for Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, and other areas of the business through problem solving, machinery development / improvement, new process /equipment design, and system analysis.

What Success Looks Like:
Assist with equipment design and integration per manufacturing/processing needs Analyze existing processes and machinery for safety, productivity, and performance improvements Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision Ability to manage small to intermediate projects as required.
Provide training to technical resources and operators on new/modified equipment or processes.
Write work instructions, LOTO, and preventative maintenance procedures for new/ modified equipment or processes.
Assist with maintenance activities as needed.
Your Credentials:
Associates degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline.
Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor software Experience with Allen Bradley PLC's and HMI's, and various networking & communication protocols.

years of experience in a manufacturing technical role.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
Knowledge and experience with basic electrical components found in manufacturing processes.
Strong mechanical aptitude for industrial equipment.
Knowledge of engineering practices, math, and sciences to apply towards problem solving.
Must be able to communicate effectively with all Quanex team members and outside resources.
