3K a year Under the direct supervision of the WorkPro Director and physician, LPN is responsible for processing all Bureau of Worker's compensation paperwork.
Will act as a liaison between the Managed Care Organizations, patients, company representatives, BWC and WorkPro.
Is also responsible for providing the nursing components of WorkPro in the clinic and/or worksite.
WORK PERFORMED Demonstrates clerical Skills - BWC process Obtains dictation and patient charge information Accurately sends requested information to appropriate area Orders testing with specialist after C-9 approval.
Maintains current on all requirements and law pertaining to BWC.
Promotes open communication between physician, patient and other staff members regarding patient care.
Performs follow-up on C-9 approval requests within 48 hours Performs assessments Obtain appropriate information on new injuries and prior to giving immunization and antigen testing.
Assess needs of the injured worker and provides follow-up care.
Assess the needs of the employer related to the employee injury.
Provide general nursing tasks under the direct supervision of the physician.
Performs Patient Care Collection of routine specimens Obtain vital signs Apply dressings, splints, braces and bandages per physician order.
Educates patient and family Educate injured worker and/or family regarding condition, follow-up, testing and treatment instructions.
Inform patient of procedures and/or testing requirements Reinforce discharge instructions Performs patient testing Titmus vision testing.
Obtain and document appropriate information and complete testing process utilizing equipment appropriately.
Pulmonary function studies and audometric exams (if certified to perform).
Obtain and document appropriate information and complete testing process utilizing equipment appropriately.
EKG testing.
Perform testing by selecting proper lead placement and proper use of the equipment to provide an acceptable EKG tracing.
Breath Alcohol testing.
Obtain appropriate information and complete testing process.
Urine drug screen collection.
Choose appropriate test and form, instruct patient and follow chain of custody properly.
Properly send specimen to appropriate laboratory via Fed Ex and/or LabCorp courier.
Venipuncture.
Perform venipuncture, meeting safety precautions and utilizing appropriate equipment and processing techniques.
E-Screen drug testing.
Properly use E-cup, E-reader and E-Screen software to perform urine drug screen testing.
Urinalysis.
Properly use Multi-stix for reporting a urinalysis report.
Maintain controls for high and low readings.
Fit Testing.
Perform analysis of selected respirators, ordering adapters and providing the testing of all associates required to wear a respirator.
Maintain equipment and respond to company representative through proper reporting method.
Rapid Strep and Mono testing.
Properly complete tests and maintain quality controls.
Provides safe medication/ immunizations administration.
PPD/TB testing.
Follow criteria and read PPD/ TB skin test results Intradermal, sugq and IM immunizations Practices information management Document on medical records all pertinent information Maintains equipment calibration Perform calibrations on pulmonary function, breath alcohol, audiometer, cholestech and hemoglobin A1C machine.
Provides case management process.
Work with the Medical Director to maintain communication with the company, the injured worker, other physicians and medical services.
Forward medical dictation with appropriate BWC forms as needed for claim allowance, treatment and etc.
Schedule diagnostic testing and specialty consultations with follow-up.
Provides customer service Respond to phone requests from patients and clients Demonstrate problem solving when needed.
Maintains staff education Maintain mandatory education requirements and specific skills required for staff Maintain BAT instructor/ trainer status (if requested) Maintain certification as a Breath Alcohol instructor/trainer status (if requested) Maintain current on laws and regulations affecting Occupational Health.

Identifies and develops on-site programs and services which can be marketed to other community businesses.
Coordinates services between WorkPro and client companies.
Plan and implement On-Site Services Implement services to all new companies by working with the company contact person.

Organizes and participates in special projects Plan, develop and participate in health fairs.
Schedule staff and testing, maintaining accurate records for health fairs.
- Schedule business luncheons with existing customers Operates equipment pertinent to work area.
Serve as backup for Drug and Alcohol Specialist Demonstrates compliance with all hospital-wide requirements.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
